BAND ORGAN VINYL RECORDINGS COLLECTORS CORNER

This series of monthly articles will feature information for collectors of recordings of Band Organs which were produced on vinyl 33 1/3 records years ago. Hopefully this information will be of value to those collectors by providing information about the record albums so they can search for them in old record stores etc.

The record album for this month is DUTCH BARREL ORGAN MUSIC

The record was produced on the FONTANA label, record number MGF 27508 (monoaural version) or SRF 67508 (stereo version). The picture shown is the mono version. It was manufactured by Fontana Records, Chicago, IL.

The info on the back of the jacket gives the name of the organ as DE ARABIER, manufactured in northern Italy around 1875. It has had many appearances throughout Europe and in 1961 was brought to New York for an appearance at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. It also states that the music on the album represents Russia, France, England, Italy and Holland.

No date is shown on the record jacket.
