BAND ORGAN VINYL RECORDINGS COLLECTORS CORNER
by Dr. Bill Black

This series of monthly articles will feature information for collectors of recordings of Band Organs which were produced on vinyl 33 1/3 records years ago. Hopefully this information will be of value to those collectors by providing information about the record albums so they can search for them in old record stores etc.

This months record is "BAND ORGAN FOR CAROUSEL, Your Ticket to Ride". The recording features a Wurlitzer Style 153 Military Band Organ. The record jacket shows a photo of the head of a carousel horse and a smaller picture of a child riding on a carousel. The information on the back of the jacket lists Samuel Costas as the owner of both the carousel and the band organ.

The organ was recorded out of doors and produced by CUCA RECORDS. The record was pressed by RCA and the jacket printed by RLP Co, Baraboo Wisconsin.

The record album is stereo #KS8090. The date of manufacture is not listed on the record.
