This series of monthly articles will feature information for collectors of recordings of Band Organs which were produced on vinyl 33 1/3 records years ago. Hopefully this information will be of value to those collectors by providing information about the record albums so they can search for them in old record stores etc.

This months record is "THE WINSTON BAND WAGON, a Unique Collection of Band Organ Music". The jacket describes the organ as being built in Paris around 1904 by Gavioli & Co. It features five automated hand carved figures, two dancing girls who twirl merrily in time to the music, two harpists and a maestro. It is operated by 90 key cardboard music book and has over 400 pipes. It was later restored by Carl Frei & Son of Waldkirch, Germany.

In 1974, the R.J.Reynolds Tobacco Company discovered the organ in Bremen, purchased the organ and brought it to America. The album number is WB-1000 Volume 1 (Limited Edition) Manufactured by RCA for R.J. Reynolds.
